I like the start here and the trade values are pretty good ngl. But i personally cant see the Sharks going anywhere even after tearing it down until they get rid of the 27 Million spent of pilons in their own zone, and honestly I dont know how theyll be able to

From the boston trade take out debrusk. Then take out Beecher. Then it’s fair for a mid 40 point rental center like hertl is.

Take out Beecher, deal. Swap Beecher for Olson, probably still a deal. But as is is a no. Highly unlikely to be able to extend him with Mac and Bergy due and Pasta the following year.

Here are some facts:
Hertl has average 52pts per 82GP
Debrusk has average 45pts per 82GP through
Hertl has averaged 25 Goals per 82GP
Debrusk has average 23 goals per 82GP

They have almost tracked identical in their first four years. Good, A little better, really hopeful, disappointing. Big year for Jake obviously.

Explain to me how this is worth a promising young center with size and speed, a 1st rd pick and a player who is three years younger and is under team control and has averaged 2 less goals and 7 less points per 82GP.

Holy delusional.

im a little confused where you get mid 40 point from becuase in hertl's last 3 seasons hes avergaed 70 points per 82? im a B's fan and that deal is a steal for hertl for what he could do for our team in playoffs, you want a 2nd line C well that's what hertl gives you hell he could be a 1st line C on multiple teams

beecher maxes out as a coyle at best with speed, debrusk is going down hill and the first will be a late one. hertl has averged 70 points per 82 the last 3 years and will be on close to the best line he's ever played with in hall and smith if you don't think that's a good deal you are delusional. trust me i want debrusk to rebound but he can only get so much better playing third line minutes and 2nd line PP. Hertl fills a huge need for us and the only hole left would either be a top 4 RHD to stack our right side or go and get a true number 1 LHD and play either forbort, reilly or grzz on the right side

With hertl i see one major outlier year, and the rest of his career he’s been a smidge over half point per game. He’s cracked 50 points exactly one time, so i wouldn’t go banking on that 70.

he played 50 and 48 games the last 2 years due to shortened seasons? i think you might have to go check your stats. 3 consecutive years of being on pace for 70 points if he plays a full 82 game season. He will also be playing with Hall and smith which would arguably be the best line he's ever played on

The stats are very clear.

He has cracked 50 points once in the national hockey league. Double and triple check if you’d like.

Really want to rebuild. Won’t happen sadly. Top 5 prospect farm system and depending how this year goes we trade hertl for a nice package and then have another top pick

holy do you not see he played 50 and 48 games the last 2 years? you the guy that will go and say well debrusk averages 51 ppg per 82 games well go look at hertl's ppg number per 82 for the last 3 years. seasons he had 6 years ago do not matter he has developed since then, hertl has proven he is a top 25 center in the league. debrusk is not getting any better on the third line, beecher maxes as a third liner most likely and the first will be a late first.

I don’t talk about debrusks point pace. You must have me confused with someone.

I have no problem with saying hertl is a good hockey player. But he isn’t a top line guy. He isn’t this super elite rental. What does debrusk have to do with this? Beecher maxes as what now? He hasn’t played a professional hockey game yet. Your post was the most incoherent rambling string of three sentences i have ever seen. What are you talking about?

There is a reason I pointed out their development arcs.

as I said, nearly identical. It would have been very easy to say Hertl was going "down hill fast" after his 4th season of 22pts in 49 games.

Debrusk and Krejci were never a great line fit. One plays N/S and one plays E/W. Also, maybe because of Debrusk, but Smith found his game about half way through the season and Debrusk was long exiled by then. I am not sure how you would expect him to score goals playing with Kuraly or and banged up Coyle while on his off wing.

He also talked about how Covid and the isolation was tough on him. Easy to write off, but he has always been a player that needs a good mental mindset to play well. He is all confidence and he had none last year. If he was struggling with mental health issues, his game would surely be reflective.

Couple other things to keep in mind.
Krejci went from .65ppg before Hall arrived to 1.35 after. That is Hall, but it's also Krejci being engaged.
Debrusk shot 5.4% - His career before last season is 13.5%. There is no reason that should not bounce back. Last year being the anomaly. Kind like how Beleskey shot 8.6% for his career until his 15% season, then the Bruins paid him for his anomaly season.

In no world is Hertl a top 25 Center in the league.
in no particular order 1) Bergeron 2) sid 3) McDavid 4) Draisaitl 5) Mackinnon 6) Matthews 7) Tavres 8) Barkov 9) Coutourier 10) giroux 11) Kopitar 12) Point 13) Malkin 14) Seguin 15) Schiefele 16) Zibenjad
17) Lindholm 18) Eichel 19) Petersson 20) Horvat 21) Aho 22) Trocheck 23) Backstrom 24) Kunetsov 25) ROR 26) Barzal 27) PLD 28) Malkin

Then you have the next wave of kids who will be there - probably this year: Susuki, Zegras, Stutzle, Byfield, and about 10 others.

Hertl over Lindholm, Horvat, Trocheck, and Kuznetsov. also almost none of these guys are on the block. who do you think Boston will try to get to be the second line center? Hertl is most defiantly better than Coyle. I thought y'all wanted a cup?

Coyle was very hurt last year. Played through some serious knee injuries. He is a good option. Also, Haula as a 2nd line center got Vegas to the finals. I also think there is almost Zero chance they sign Lysell without the intention of him playing in the NHL this year. It makes no sense to burn a year of his contract. Studnicka is also an option. I think there is some healthy competition, which is good. Who knows who becomes available when teams start to fall out of contention. Hall can carry the line. He is play driver much more than a scorer. They signed a bunch of solid wingers who can play center to cover for the inexperience.

Dvorak, Monahan, Eichel, Pavelski, Kadri and I think Vancouver is in a jam with Pettersson - maybe not him, but where he ends up.

I still think their eyes are on Barkov in the offseason, so the center by committee thing is intentional to A) see what they have in the young guys and increase their value for a deal or if they are good enough, even better. B) To save money for next off season for McAvoy and Barkov.

I think if Florida makes the playoffs and makes it past the first round, Barkov stays with the team. Honestly I think Barkov likes it in Florida, cheap taxes, good weather, and such
