I really can't figure out what the goal is here. You're basically trading laterally in a lot of those trades, but at the same time, the trades where you don't trade laterally aren't even close to fair.

Those contracts- dahlin, jokiharju, and mittelstadt- those are no good. Dahlin may get that contract at some point, but hes gonna have to prove he is one of the best d in the nhl first. Jokiharju and mittelstadt have neither the body of work nor the leverage to get those contracts, and thats both aav and term. If the sabres go more than 3x3 for either, its an extremely generous goodwill gesture from management telling them that they are the new core and they believe in them. And theyd be sticking their necks out, because neither is exactly a rookie, and neither has shown the kind of consistency to warrant that belief from management.

They're bad trades, that aren't accepted, but yeah, they're trades.
