This might be the worst take I’ve ever seen on this site, ever.

He’s a top 25 winger at the least. 30+ Goal pace winger with very good defense.

Bjorkstrand is worth a 1st

Gavrikov, and Korpisalo are not worth a first, and no Holland would not do that trade.

I’d definitely give up a first for him, unfortunately we don’t have the space especially giving up Littles LTIR. One of our Dmen would need to go to make room but that would solidify our T9 for years and be one of the leagues best.

Columbus isn’t making half of these moves, like no chance they move Bjorkstrand or Gavrikov at this point, I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that Columbus would move Laine before they would trade Bjorkstrand.

Honestly this makes very little sense for Columbus at this point, the only trade I do like is the Colorado trade for Domi, that being said Domi is out until mid December/early January.

Overall not the worst, just not practical.

But FR, they’re not moving Bjorkstrand, nor Robinson, who they just protected in the expansion draft and signed to an extension. I’d put Gavrikov in the same boat, though maybe circle back on that in a year or two.

I’d adore that Domi trade - a 3rd and a former 1st rounder who could get some playing time on a rebuilding squad. Similarly, I’ve put more stock in trading Nyquist lately, so happy to see someone else look into it. Fair deal, all told, though CHI has a cap situation now that Shaw’s LTIR is going to help with, so not sure that is the destination for him.

I don’t see the logic in this. Bjorkstrand, Gavrikov and Robinson are guys they are building with. These trades make them much worse. They are likely not a playoff team this year, but the roster is not broken to the point of trading core pieces. I expect them to overachieve this year and be right on the brink of the playoffs, and start contending again in 2-3 years when Marchenko, Johnson and Sillinger start producing.
