That’s an awful lot for Ekholm, there would need to be an extension in place for sure. Even then, seems like a bit much in my eyes. They just signed Forbort, so he’s going nowhere.

And oh my goodness are the Leafs overpaying in that Forsberg trade, take out one of Sandin/Amirov and it’s probably better.

At least the 'kitchen sink' was spared from that Nash-Boston debacle...

NSH accepts all of them. Every other team declines.

Boston's not giving up that much for Ekholm. DeBrusk maybe, but they're defiantly not giving up a prospect like Beecher for a defenseman that's probably 3rd line on most teams.

Laughing at that Isles proposal. 2 AHL players and a third liner for a 1st and recent 1st pick.

You should delete this.

It's actually included as a condition to the '23 1st round...along with your left arm, right foot, both earlobes, and your first born child

Agree that’s way too much for Ekholm but you think he’s a third pair D in most teams? That’s as absurd as this trade was.

Agreed they won't give up that much for Ekholm. However, I'm not sure what Ekholm you've been watching, but the one I have been watching isn't a 3rd pairing defenseman. I think just about any contender who could use help on the left side would be willing to give up a Beecher level prospect and 1st for him.

that islanders trade makes zero logical sense. what in that trade are they giving up a first for?
