Lol, and we all thought the Jones trade that happened was an overpayment, the guy that came up with that trade must be really high on Jones

That, but he was also really low on Boqvist and thinks Nylander belongs in the ECHL.
I've said it before on this site and I'll say it again. The worst part of the Blackhawks fanbase is the part that follows Barstool Chief. Guy is a nutbag who thinks he knows everything about hockey because he played in a beer league.

Yeah well at the time Pius Suter wasn't being qualified, So he became a UFA and the Hawks no longer owned his rights.

I remember when this came out. The trade offer was hilarious but I also enjoyed watching Hockey twitter lose their mind over it

His QO was lower that the contract DET gave him. Stan Let him walk as a favor to Pius Suter. Stan needed to maintain his pipeline to the Euro talent by allowing them to get life altering money. $6M is HUGE. Stan could have qualified him and he'd certainly be in their line up on the 3rd line, but he'd risk his pipeline. Better to just honor your player.
