Example Chicago: What if we drafted Blake Wheeler over Cam Barker in 2004

-What if we drafted Anze Kopitar over Gilbert Brule?
-What if we drafted Travis Zajac instead of Alex Picard?
-What if we never traded Rick Nash?
-What if we retained Artemi Panarin and Sergei Bobrovsky?
-What if we didn't trade for Jeff Carter and waited to select Sean Couturier?

There are soooo many.

I could add a decent amount of these
what if we kept Sergachev?
What if we Drafted Shea Theodore over Mike McCarron?
What if we drafted Kevin Hayes or Kuznetsov over Jarred Tinordi?
What if we drafted Kreider over Louis Leblanc?
What if we didn't do the Scott Gomez trade?
What if we didn't acquire Andrew Shaw ( we could have ADB but wouldn't have Mysak )?

What if we kept the pick that Messier was drafted at?

We originally had that pick, but traded it for the pick that we got Neal Broten with.

You were in Minnesota at the time that still counts what about when the stars were in Dallas

Toronto has a lot but the two standouts are definitely if the Rask and Kessel trades never happened.

So then you would’ve had Rask Seguin and Hamilton

What if we picked Sebastian Aho (35th pick) instead of Travis Dermott with pick 34 in 2015 draft would be my main one. I know their are gems in every draft and it's tough to evaluate players and their development curve when they're so young but man that's a tough pill to swallow.
Also, the obvious ones, Rask and Kessel trades.

What if the NHL hadn't changed the lottery odds in 2005 to all but remove Washington from the running? Could we have seen an Ovi-Sid pairing and watched Backstrom go to another team?

Also, what if the Capitals (George McPhee, i'm looking at you) used their brains and didn't trade Forsberg for Erat and Latta?

It may have been because the pens were pretty much bankrupt and Bettman wanted to avoid relocating the team

I think it was partially that but I think it was mostly because some teams might have complained with the lack of play due to the Lockout. I still think it was quite unfair as they all but took the Caps out of even the top 10 (If my memory is correct, they took a defenseman at 12 that hardly played at all in the NHL and struggled to stay in the AHL), and I think it was too much of a punishment for a team that finished as one of the worst teams in the NHL.

What If Montreal traded Danault + Tatar at last year's deadline and committed to a full on rebuild?

For Tampa I'd say what if we don't lose/get swept by Columbus in 2019?

Do we win the cup that year or not?
Do we feel inclined to go get Coleman and Goodrow the next season if we don't get embarrassed by Columbus?

What if Toronto never traded Kadri

Would he continue to get suspended come playoff time or would he have done what he did his first year in Colorado and helped the leafs beat the jackets

A second one would be what if Toronto never signed Marleau and Zaitsev

I would go with what if that trade tree never happened that got Nashville Josi and so Josi, Gibson, Rakell, and Saad ended up as leafs

Thanks Burke

What if Roloson had stayed healthy?
What if Chris kept it in his pants so he and Lauren could have had a healthy relationship?
What if they didn't have to trade Smyth over hundreds of thousands of dollars?
What if they had drafted better in 2007?

Would we have still had the decade of darkness?

What could have been if Katz hadn't gotten in the way of the 2013 draft and they selected Murray?
What if they kept Nugent-Hopkins and Schultz down an extra season? Or insulated them properly?
What would they look like if they hadn't have traded any of their 2015 picks?

Could they have been more competitive already?

What happens if Tippett is extended?
What happens to the long-term sustainability of this team if Holland's moves this summer work?
What if Wallstedt truly becomes a top-tier goaltender?

Why does this team hate me? Should I hate it?

Agree on that one, long time ago in middle school I did a project on why the Flames should’ve won and why the puck was in the net. I got 100%, it was one of my favourite projects ever and I’ll never forget it.
