You can ask, but you may not receive. A replacement level defenseman and a cap dump aren't getting you back a 1st+, especially since you aren't taking any cap back. (Edmonton for sure wouldn't do this).

chiarot needs to have 50% retention before they even think of it. I'm not sure they need chiarot to be totally honest they have like probably 9 NHL ready Dmen. Broberg was good in his first game they will give him a chance before they do anything else.

Allen is back and Price will be back too... I think what @mastersp4 is insinuating is there are bigger issues to address than 3rd string goalie.

Wow, don't think Nicolas Cloutier realizes that the NHL is a cap league. Armia is a negative contract, can't given away. Maybe 2.4m Ritchie for 3.4m Armia.
If a contending team suffers a big loss to their LHD, yep they might overpay for a LHD. But LHDs are plentiful and there will be competition among the sellers from bottom dwelling teams to get rid of LHD UFAs,
