You're wrong. As a Hawks fan I want Ritchie if he comes with TOR's 1st rounder. That's good with me. awesome face

Arizona or Buffalo would literally take Ritchie with no retention for like a 3rd thrown in

Idk who you're trying to kid but every team has a price to take on contracts and moving 2 mill isn't a lot to ask for

Exactly my point. No one wants him, Toronto has to pay a team something to take him. My point is that no one is going to trade something of value for Ritchie one for one, he's a cap dump. Toronto has to give something up to ditch him.

Oh okay my bad , yeah you're right imo

Ritchie isn't God awful like a lot of people would make him out to be but the problem is we have guys making league min who can do the same. If Ritchie was making a million less no one would bat an eye.

He's just the whipping boy this season, there's always one

Ya I agree, At 1 million he's fine but at 2.5 on a cap-strapped team....you gotta do your part. He has not done his part.

It's actually $3.3 mil is cash next year, which is why I can't see a team like Arizona doing it without getting a solid pick or prospect...Not the typical Zona cap grab that is we've seen.

Pretty simple though-Bury him and you save $1.1 mil (I think...might be $1.5...), or buy him out and his cap hit is only $300 K, followed by $1.1 the following year, when I'd assume the cap will be up to $83.5 (assuming $1 mil raise to the cap annually).

Yeah I think burying him is the way to go, at least he's depth for the playoffs. That's not nothing but its not ideal

Agreed. Even the buyout isn't *that* bad of a path. Either way, if I'm the Leafs, I'm keeping my picks unless it's for an upgrade somewhere.

People said that about Andreas Johnsson and look how well that turned out lul

Didnt pay a penny to move him despite the fact he suffered 2 serious leg injuries

If Ritchie gets moved it will probs follow the same setting
