Rangers don't have the cap for Marner.

Also, why would MIN sell Dumba now? They're more of a contender than the Leafs are.

Not so sure you’ve payed attention whatsoever…

The team plays worse without Marner, especially defensively.

The PK has taken a massive hit and now sits in the bottom half of the league without him.

Our GAA is rising, too.

I didn’t even mention how bad the value is there.

Tell us more sarcasm

This is amazing value for NYR but they can’t afford Marner.

So ultimately the Wild get a late 1st and holl/ 6-7th dman for Dumba. You can understand the lack of interest from Minnesota.

Minnesota isn't trading dumba fir a worse d. Dumba's value is a top 6c, and being that he was just named Alternative captain at beginning of year, and Wild are in 1st place, he's not available

If its such an amazing value for the Rangers, why does a Leaf fan want to trade Marner? Does he just want to be nice to the Rangers? Or is it because he is sick of getting swept out of the playoffs every year while watching Marner do a disappearing act? On top of it all, Schneider isn't available anyway, so its moot.

I think that is all the more reason not to trade Dumba. Go for it this year before the pain sets in.

Probably because he’s just an idiot.

But yes, let’s base the entirety of Marner opinions on this one ACGM.

You can keep your “untouchable” Schneider and whatever other stuff you would like to keep.

Marner isn’t for trade. Not even slightly.

That’s called generalization. You can find at least one of these ACGMs per a team still doesn’t make them a valid argument so I’d ask what specifically don’t you like about his game? Everyone is available in a trade and I hate saying this but if Gretzky can be traded so can Schneider.

It's funny how people talk about the leafs only forward that plays in every important situation in the game. 4th in league scoring last season- more ice time then any NHL forward in past 2 yrs. 2nd best 2-way winger in the league (Marchand). Foolishness, the leafs if they ever traded Marner would want a top 6 forward, 2 top prospects and 2 first rounders

Of course anyone CAN BE traded, the point about Schneider is his perfect fit in Drury's plan for the team. He checks every box Drury likes and is young and will be cost controlled for several years, so Drury has ZERO reasons to trade him. That's why 95% of all trades on this forum involving the Rangers posted by fans of other teams includes Schneider. None ever include Nils Lunqvist, who is already in the league and very highly touted, its always Schnieder. There is a reason for that. Marner is a good player who disappears when crunch time comes, so IMO there is no need to add him, he's not what the Rangers need to find success in the playoffs.

Using your same logic we shouldn’t see a single NYR fan trading him but that isn’t the case. I’ve seen quite a few Nils trade with dealing with Detroit. Comes down to shiny toy syndrome and size.

The trades I have seen are 99% Schneider and 1% Nils.

Just went through the most recent ~25 NYR ACGMs and it was a 3-2 split without counting the multiple Kane - Nils ones. Vast majority is NYR pawning off Kravtsov or Jones.

Of course Kravstov, he's 100% going to get traded. Jones has a shot at staying put, especially if Nemeth doesn't pick up his play soon.
