I dont actually hate the lehkonen one, and certainly wouldnt mind it 1 bit with a bit more retention, the full 1.2 off at the deadline would mean he only costs like 300k or something against the cap, thats a really solid piece of depth for very little cost, has really similar metrics as Engvall, a second may be a slight bit much, but seeing how its next years second thats okay
Villeneuve is a really solid prospect but i wouldnt rate him any higher than maybe a B- at best i imagine he will be a bottom 6 dman, with maybe slight abilities that could help a powerplay, granted hes kinda young i imagine the leafs would wanna see him actually play at a higher level so he may be unavailable right now
Its a hard trade to quantify, because the leafs do want players for cheap right now, but they need to think, will their second round pick next year and Villeneuve carry more weight in the org going forward,
Now toffoli would be far more interesting, in theory he could get a chance to play in a role where all he needs to do is score goals in a depth role,
He would carry more impact on the leafs than lehk, if he could be retained which would be a much harder sell for the habs, but toffoli retained would be something i imagine the leafs wouldnt hate at all.
