Murray and Kane are under NHL contracts, so I’m pretty sure that makes them ineligible

Del Zotto is too. I guess it's a matter of the Sharks and the Sens maybe recalling Kane and Murray at some point

It probably is that players under NHL contracts but not in the NHL have to be given permission to go, or some GM's reached out and said they didn't want certain guys to be on the list

Sens recalled Murray. He played the game against Toronto that we lost 6-0

It could be a Dorion mastermind plan to have Del Zotto dominate against China to make him look half-decent and find a buyer.

It’s kinda sad that they’re allowing? making? China compete in hockey. Like, at least they’re not gonna lose every game 20-0 like they would against NHLers, but I still would be surprised if they score a goal all tournament.

I love this. Machabée is one of the first women to cover hockey in North-American medias. She's covered the Nordiques, the Olympics and the Canadiens since 2012.

I wonder what happened to the Chinese draftee from the Islanders a few years ago.

Yeah but I wonder if he's still playing somewhere and if he's going to the olympics.

Logical choice, i mean, it’s VP of communications and she has good hockey reporting experience

I have not seen anyone talk about Elias Petterson and how poopy butt he’s been. He’s on pace to finish the year with 41 points 🤢

I have not seen ENOUGH talk about how good Filip has been this year

That would’ve been a great first round for us. Later that round we chose Wilson. What a draft. Now long did we even have him for?

Looks like he stopped playing (at a relevant level) in 2018, after a grand total of 3 points in 100 USHL games. Spencer Foo is probably the only recognizable name, if he decides to represent China. I assume their roster will be whoever they can steal off Kunlun Red Star (bunch of guys born in NA of Chinese descent on that team) and then whichever beer leaguers sign up to play. Their 2019 IIHF world championship team had 5 guys named Zhang on it.

He has been good, but he’s also shooting 23%. Nashville should trade him for a 1st + top prospect.

Does that diminishes what he is doing? I mean, it's not like we are talking about some guy who is coming out of nowhere. He is a 25-30 goal scorer having a great year

Edit:
I will agree NSH needs to decide on what they are, in rebuild mode or trying to contend. Having Johansen, Duchene, Ekholm, Josi, and Saros locked up. Why not keep Filip?

Of course not, I’m just saying Nashville should take advantage of his great season and sell high because he’ll likely never produce like this again.

I think Forsberg will want 8.5-9 mill on an 8 year deal from NSH. That will not age well and Johansen/Duchene will continue to regress. NSH is better off trading forsberg and getting a 1st + top prospect. They don’t have a true 1C so it’s not like they can contend

So I think this applies to a lot of teams - but I think the Sharks are going to trade;

Hertl
Labanc

by TDL

and maybe even finally move Kane

I dont think Hertl is gonna stay at this point with how things have been going recently and Labanc just seems logical.

I think a handful of teams will bid on Hertl but Labanc and Kane are going to be interesting.

I would do a package for all three
