I find it hard to believe there would be teams who could beat this roster in a 7 game series

Even though Tarasenko is having a good year, no team is paying that price...

Way too big of return for Tarasenko
Perron is not signing a 1 yr deal, especially for that little

Its pretty Fair A decent younger player middle 6 a defensive dman bottom pair and a first for an elite scorer which is what NYI Needs

because he is a 1 yr rental, Mayfield is worth a 2nd at least, Beau is worth a 1st (maybe more) and adding in a first. You are only slightly under what you are giving up to get Chychrun who is younger and signed to term on a really good deal

Nah Tarasenko is not what the islanders need - this is a mike milbury type trade. No shot the isles do this.

Re-sign another 31 YO rw? How are they going to afford Wahlstrom and barzal?

nah, they had their shot at him this past offseason and didn't pull the trigger. I don't see them being in on him anymore.

Islanders decline for two reasons:

1) They aren't paying this for Tarasenko. He has one year left and Beau alone should be enough of a payment (young player w/ term).

2) Tarasenko is 30, the Islanders desperately need to get younger. Why on earth would they trade their 24 y/o 2nd line LW for a 30 y/o RW?

The isles are not trading Beauvillier for Tarasenko. The isles and Blues are not good trade partners

Take out the 1st and Beauvillier. Tarasenko has one year left and is often injured. Terrible asset management by NYI and I don't think Lou is that dumb.
