I’d take joe, think he’s more of what they would need

Either of them would be insane additions for COL, but if I had to pick it'd be Pavelski.

Eh, I don't know if he'd be cheaper at this point. Both are on rental deals, Pavelski is cheaper, AND he's currently in the middle of what could be a career year for him.

This. @coga16 I'm not convinced Pavelski would be cheaper. In division and possibility of re-signing if Burky walks.

I was at game 7 a few years ago when it was pavs first game back from that injury against Vegas. Place was nuts all game and of course pavs scored the first goal. He plays well against everyone in the playoffs and should be cheaper.

pavelski is also good at faceoffs. I dont think anyone is going to be an extend candidate TBH, Giroux probably costs more extension wise than Burky
I dont think indivision matters, hes a pending UFA. Sakic has traded a lot in division. That is more of a myth for some teams

Assuming roughly equal cost, I'll take Giroux. I see him as the better fit with the Avs. I can see an argument for Pavs too though, so it's not something I feel incredibly strong about.

Happened vs San Jose, happened vs Dallas. He knows how to beat the Avs into the 3rd round. Maybe if he's on our side for once, he could bring us to the 3rd round. I also would prefer Pavelski over Giroux.

JP is probably more open to re-signing for one year as opposed to CG, who is younger. Avs have space for only one top-six F next season.

Giroux is better than Pavelski though; he's up at 61.2% this year and that'd be huge for our PP1. I'd be fine with either, but Dallas still has a shot at the playoffs whereas Philly is already on the outs. TBD on extensions in my mind, anything's possible this summer.

I just prefer Pavs but I dont hate Giroux or not want him either. really it comes down to Giroux or Pavelski, Giroux with a full NMC and Pavelski with only a 3 team trade list. if they want to be moved they will hand pick the teams. Who knows maybe neither of them wants to come here, there are always reasons outside of hockey
