Only way jets are likely talking with NYI is if Dobson/Wahlstrom are on the board. But I do agree that’s a likely spot that could be used. Would really help out the islanders and scheifeles one hole in his game is defense, which trotz would fix quickly.

Probably but to be honest I don’t know the prospects that well, just know the jets holes, it may take something shinier than that, something to argue about a past number 1 pick bust or not and lessen the rest of the package. Chevy probably needs a healthy win for the fanbase to be not calling for his head. Not sure on rangers needs but a couple lhd dman in play and possibly a top 9 forward or two. Could be quite a blockbuster

The above is my guess as to what’s really changed the team dynamic. I’ve noticed the attitude change in scheifele for sure. Honestly it also started when the rumours were going around about Lowry and scheifeles GF getting together. The team need a bit of a refresh and new direction. It seems like a new issue keeps coming up, so make some moves to refresh a bit and start a new chapter.


As for the OP, I think the rangers are the perfect team to make a scheifele trade with. They have the assets and the cap space plus are out of conference. I think there’s a team waiting in the wings that’ll jump out if scheifele is available. He has a low cap hit and would 100% go off ‘18 playoff style on another team. Man florida could be an interesting spot, I know they’re kind of set, but they could upgrade to scheifele.

Agreed. Even though Wheeler is less effective than Scheifele and honestly hurts the team, I at least see him try on the ice. Mark Scheifele is a more talented player but beer league players put more effort and passion into their play.

I feel like it would’ve leaked if it did, the jets don’t have exactly an airtight seal on things going on in the room. Honestly it might be the best scenario for both parties. I had an islanders fan saying they’d be interested in scheifele. Wonder if a package built around Dobson would be of interest to Winnipeg.
