This team isn’t selling a core piece because it’s time to start buying soon and competing . Selling good pieces for futures that won’t contribute for 3 years isn’t something we are interested in doing. Maybe 3 years ago but not now

He was solid against Crosby line last night. I wouldn't move him unless its a major overpay. Josh brown looked good too-- why do Sens fans not like him?

He's been a positive +- guy on a team that's got like -50 goal differential in the last 2 seasons. You keep that guy unless ottawa adds and trades up for a bigger piece.

Actually since Josh Brown came back from injury he’s been pretty decent. At the start of the year he was terrible tho.

I loved him even at beginning of year. What would his cost be?

Probably like a 5th round pick. I think he’s a good #6 or #7 Dman depth piece at the deadline, he will probably be moved

Notice in the description he says :
    “Contender Looking for depth”

He probably doesn’t know Zub at all

If Anaheim is just a placeholder, then there's no destination team, so why do you want the Sens to trade Zub away? What is Ottawa's reason for putting him on the market?

If this is just discussion, that's what the forums are for.

If you had a specific desination, then just use that as the destination. Give some sort of baseline to work with, and not a wide open 31 team possibility. This will quickly degenerate into comparing the destination team players offered against the other destination team players offered.

Sens fans aren't too bright. They tend to repeat what they read on the blog sites, or hear in the vlogs. There is really very littlle actually thinking going on.

Josh Brown is fine, as long as he doesn't play too many minutes.

depends what you define as fine though. Hes almost completely incapable as a puck carrier and mover. Hes been way better since being paired with brannstrom because all he has to do is give it to brannstrom and let him move the puck.

if you are looking for depth you can pick up Brown or Mete realtvely cheap , if you wanted Zub today you would overpay ....the ask would be Drysdale and I already know the answer to that.
if Zub gets moved it would be next year when Dorion start contract discussions.

Definitely a situation of different types of defencemen complimenting each other, like Karlsso/Methot, and Chabot/Zaitsev.

Chabot came out with a very complimentary comment about Zaitsev, but unfortunately it drew out a lot of Zaitsev haters. The pro Zaitsev fans aren't likely to engage with the Zaitsev haters, there's just too much vitriol being spewed, so the majority remain silent, while the minority remain vocal. This is a common occurance though.

I don't see Josh Brown returning next season, with the defencemen the team has now. Next season is going to be a battle for a D job in Ottawa.

    Chabot 27/28
    Zaitsev 23/24
    Thomson 23/24
    Zub 22/23
    Holden 22/23
    Del Zotto 22/23
    JBD 22/23
    Brannstrom RFA
    Mete RFA
    Sanderson Reserve List
    Kleven Reserve List
    Tychonick Reserve List

Kleven might stay in school, and Tychonick might sign somewhere else after Aug 15th, but there's still 10 bodies before Josh Brown is even considered, baring any TDL moves.
