Team: 2021-22 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 17, 2022
Published: Feb. 17, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
frank lists these teams as teams that are in on hagel and that chicago has received offers close to what they are asking for which is a top prospect plus a first round pick not saying this is whats offered just speculating also not saying hagel is worth all this either this is more a discussion to see what teams would part with to get hagel assuming ur team is gonna meet the first + top prospect maybe more criteria hawks want and teams are inching closer too
Trades
1.
CHI
  1. Abruzzese, Nick [Reserve List]
  2. Amirov, Rodion
  3. Knies, Matthew [Reserve List]
  4. Niemelä, Topi [Reserve List]
  5. Robertson, Nicholas
  6. 2022 1st round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
these are torontos top prospects I know some are untouchable but this is their top guys so they couldve offered a combination of one of these guys plus a pick
TOR
2.
CHI
  1. Heponiemi, Aleksi
  2. Knight, Spencer
  3. Lundell, Anton
  4. Samoskevich, Mackie [Reserve List]
  5. Smilanic, Ty [Reserve List]
  6. Sourdif, Justin
  7. Tippett, Owen
Additional Details:
anton lundell is definetly not coming back in a hagel trade just throwing him on there maybe if it was hagel plus for anton lundell straight up but i think hawks would be interested in a first and either samo or sourdif
FLA
3.
CHI
  1. Foote, Nolan
  2. Holtz, Alexander
  3. Hughes, Luke [Reserve List]
  4. Mukhamadullin, Shakir
  5. Stillman, Chase
Additional Details:
this one confuses me because NJ isnt contending and giving up a first would be a top 10 pick as of rn they have 5th best odds at number 1 pick so i feel like their first is very valuable and hawks would probably take a lesser prospect and their first cause next year new jersey could be contending if they make some good signings but hard to see Nj doing a trade for hagel given the asking price I know hughes is 10000% off limits hawks would prob do stillman and a this years first or holtz and next years first I know its high asking price but thats what hawks are looking for an overpayment and teams are reportedly getting close
NJD
4.
CHI
  1. Coronato, Matthew [Reserve List]
  2. Pelletier, Jakob
  3. Poirier, Jérémie
  4. Strömgren, William [Reserve List]
Additional Details:
calgary is reported that they may have backed out a little with toffoli being a flame now but these are some guys hawks would prob want calgary doesnt have a first this year which i feel hawks would want

I’d say abruzzese is most likely of the names listed for the leafs. Niemela and Knies should be the two untouchable leafs prospects.

Tippett and Heponiemi are the only ones Florida would move for Hagel, possibly Ty but that’s about it.

Do you have a link? I really can't wrap my head around why the Panthers would be in on Hagel

I would think that a cheap quality forward with term would be just what Edmonton would like. I know that Holland has said he won't be dealing this year's first-round draft pick, but is there anyone on their prospect list not named Holloway that interests you if he does?

I find it more interesting that you think

Stillman + 2022 first has the same value as
Holtz + 2023 first
Not that either will happen.

Get the feeling it'll be like the Coleman/Goodrow TBL deals -- a bit of an overpay, but the team that trades for him will get enough value out of his low cap hit. Probably a team tight against the cap next season. CGY, TOR, and FLA make sense, but I don't think NJD would be willing pay a premium like the other teams could.

NJ confuses why they would be in on hagel so i didnt really know what to do package wise those were just two packages i randomly thought of not saying they are worth the same value wise obviously holtz is worth way more then stillman

agreed which is why NJ being the teams seravalli listed is a little confusing coleman package is a good comp for him

Unpopular take Niemela should be the one traded. His value is at the absolute highest it will be. Cash in rn because unfortunately he won’t be a top pairing dman. Probably a 3 at best and dman take longer to develop.

I’d personally do Niemela, Mikheyev and 2023 1st for Hagel

For Hagel? What is happening here?

I am guessing NJD trying to obtain a winger somewhere. And once it’s out that you are in on one guy, you might as well leak it that you are in on all of them so no one holds leverage.

Otherwise makes no sense to me why we would be involved here.

One of the smartest things I have read on here about Niemela in a while

This Hagel news is blowing up! Im hopeful we keep him though if its decided that the best move would be to trade him, I hope its a ransom because he has been a rare bright spot this year and brings his game every night.
