"Drop the fluff. Chiarot will cost you Lundkvist+3rd and Drouin will cost you Lafreniere."

- is what I'm expecting to hear as advice here.

How good is hunt? I haven't watched many rangers games so idk but trade seems decently fair.

5 on 5 performance, depth scoring (specifically c), and reliable depth d. If you were a realist and watched our teams games, you’d understand that those have been our needs all year.

Quick and gritty. Similar to debrusk but less offensive upside. He’d fit in well with you guys especially if you look for scoring depth elsewhere at the TDL.

Problem is not the value its that the package does not meet the positional needs of Montreal. We would rather add for something we need than trade players for something we don't need which is exactly what's going on here. Until Rangers fans understand that Montreal is too deep at LD and RW to consider trading for those positions, there will be a disconnect among the fan bases.

Last thing BOS needs is another 25+ year old bottom 6 forward, while it’s probably fair value I’d rather just keep JD, bruins have the money to resign him anyways.

I’d be willing to talk Kravtsov to BOS for JD and pick

Rangers have no desire or the cap for a 4.25m Drouin this year or next.

As a Habs fan, take out Robertson and the 5th and we still accept.

I'll break this up:
Chiarot gets 1st + 3rd
Drouin would get Berard + Kravtsov + 4th

Chiarot gets what? He's worth a 2nd max.

I said he GETS a 1st + 3rd, because he WILL get that, (BTW leafs are frontrunners to give that to the habs for him!)
All Habs fans would agree he's WORTH 2nd + 4th, but he will get 1st + 3rd, no matter what fans say.

Boston passes on that. Plenty of options they’d be interested in. That’s not it.

No idea what Drouin's value is, but it looks close enough.

...I'm not sure how adding DeBrusk and Drouin (as a center?) help with 5 on 5 performance or depth scoring at C, but ok.

Im very much a realist. However these are absolutey not the players I would be targeting. Andrew Copp and Calle Jarnkrok are who we should be targeting for the 3rd line.

@Christiansilvestri this is my TDL playoff push squad. Giroux (or Pavelski) would be a luxury. For an inexpensive top 6 guy, with reluctance, I wouldnt be opposed to Kessel. Guy has playoff and SC pedigree.

Drouins offensive upside. We can’t score 5 v 5. Having him and it doesn’t have to be a centre position, would help with that. He performs in the playoffs as well.

Kessels not a bad idea but I think the bidding war would be too high for giroux. I’ll have a look tho.

To be fair, 16 of Drouin's 20 points are even strength. He is only a C in a pinch however.

Its worth kicking tires on Giroux and Pavelski, but I have a hard stance to avoid any and all bidding wars. Its unnecessary.
