Minnesota wouldn't be adding. New y0rk would be adding their 1st because Anthony isn't good

Raty + 1st would be the package for Fiala. Whether or not that gets beat by OTT or someone else, I’m not sure. But that’s likely what opens the conversation.

Beauvillier has struggled like most of the isles this season but to say he isn't good is just an absurd statement. His underlying numbers were just as good as fiala's the previous two seasons.

I think to start, if Fiala were to sign that deal, he would be staying in Minnesota, it will be 7.25+, if he keeps playing the way he is now, its going to be more like 8.5-9

You are going to go down a rabbit hole trying to argue with this guy. Don't start, trust me

His production totals look fine for a 24 yo and putting him in a Fiala deal makes sense for both sides but the extra piece is probably close to a 1st. I’d like to see what else is on offer but I wouldn’t be disappointed for Beau and a 1st.

I would consider Beau and a 2023 1st (top 10 protected) . The 2022 1st will probably be in the 6-10 range , I wouldn't give that and Beauvillier up for Fiala.

This is how beauvillier profiled before this season. His rate numbers are good as well, can't go by points/g for the isles because Trotz doesn't give anyone a lot of ice time, he rolls 4 lines (unfortunately)

That's going to be the cost, he is playing like a top 15 winger in the NHL right now, if not higher. Since getting a legit player on his line he is over a PPG player.

Beau is slightly above average and the Wild will need to fill the hole Fiala leaves. If at the end of the day this is the only deal on the table I’m absolutely taking it but its not my ideal return.

This would have legs for me.

IDK, I wouldn’t go that far. He’s playing great but we don’t know if the hump in production is due to Boldy in particular or just that Boldy is a better player than what he’s used to playing with. And then we also need to remember Fiala’s shooting pct is rebounding. Lots of ifs. Fiala is a guy I want on my team but I’m not saying he’s in Kaprizov or Pasta territory.

I mean, I don't think he is in that territory either. I would consider both of them top 5 wingers, Pasta over Kap, Kap probs sitting at 5. My opinion, on this, definitely not fact, but I don't think it's 100% because of Boldy specifically but a competent player, also, I think he is finding the net, where in previous years, it felt like the crossbar was his mortal enemy.

How about Beau and an unprotected 1st (6-10ish) for Fiala and Beckman or the Wild’s 1st (24-30ish) OR Raty and Beau for Fiala?

I wouldn’t do it. I don’t think Raty is what the Wild were after. Most of the scouting reports I’ve read say he’s got the skills but won’t drive a line for hockey IQ reasons. That’s the hallmark of Brackett drafting so far.

(This is not a knock on Raty, just don’t think he fits the Wild MO.)

If the issue at question with Raty is hockey IQ and processor speed, I wouldn’t give a 3rd rounder for him!

I probably wouldn't do that. Personally the most I'd be comfortable giving up for Fiala is Beau and a 2023 protected 1st.

The questions of Raty's IQ came from him playing a conservative style for Karpat in his draft year so he wouldn't get taken out of the lineup. All the underlying numbers say he is one of the better line drivers in Liiga and his transition stats are very good.

Raty played 6 games for Karpat this season ( 4th line minutes and no PP time) and then he was loaned to another team in Liiga (Jukerit) . He currently has 31 points in 31 games as a 19 YO which is nearly identical to what Lundell did last season. Currently Raty projects as a high end two way 2C.

If that is where he ends up, I wouldn’t mind a middle of Ek, Rossi, and Raty at all!

yeah the isles can't afford to "overpay" for a winger unless it's someone elite like a M. Tkachuk. The isles are better off keeping Beau and drafting one of Lambert/Yurov/Nazar/Slafkovsky then trading for Fiala. I understand the ask but it wouldn't be worth it for the them.
