That trade is awful for Chicago. Hagel starts with a 1st and prospect, and you don't have that here.

Leafs are a poor trade partner. The assets are not there nor a fit for Van.

Miller for Nylander/Niemela be my ask.
Even then Canucks get softer & Leaf fans surely shoot me down. Leafs gain cap.

Never mind the trade values, it hardly makes the Leaf cap compliant when Muzzin comes off LTIR. Even worse next season the Leafs way over the cap.
