Come on dude. You can't possibly believe that package gets you Giroux with full retention...

1st + a roster player would sound right for Tex, but I wouldn’t want to move him. Not sure Compher really moves the needle much for me

Word is that Philly values Ranta, Helleson is a very good RHD prospect and Jost is a roster player that provides some bottom-six value and may benefit from a change of scenery. It's not a great package but Giroux holds the cards so that brings the potential return down.

The 2023 1st is the good part - that draft is expected to be a deep one so even a late 1st is worth it. So, in getting the 1st, you're not going to also get a player that "moves the needle" all that much.

I am not expecting MTL to retain on Kulak IF they trade him. I think they would retainnn on Chiarot or any other player that could fetch better assets than a late 4th...

Value overall feels a bit low, but I honestly don't mind Compher as one of the pieces coming back because he's at least a center. That'd make it easier to either trade Roslovic or move him to wing, where he's a far better fit.

The roster player is going to be more of a throw-in regardless, so getting back a real (albeit uninspiring) NHL center is fine. Colorado's first isn't going to be all that valuable, though, hence saying there'd need to be something else coming over from Colorado.

As @NMAvsFan said the three players I included have all been mentioned as players that Philadelphia have interest in. They're also apparently more keen on prospects who can step into the NHL next season rather than picks. Maybe you replace Helleson with Barron but either way it doesn't seem outlandish that that might be reasonably close if Philadelphia like those pieces. Personally I don't think they get a 1st if one of Barron/Helleson is included. Giroux's NMC will limit value somewhat.

Well I'm guessing we'll find out soon...

One of your least appetising proposals. Texier is imo absolutely horrible. Giroux I'm getting more 'meh' about the more I see ppl overestimate what he'll fetch when he's a luxury to the Avs, and Kulak is just generally a fill in spot, and I don't think he's that great an improvement on what we have if at all.
