Not a chance Minnesota does this. We aren't trading calen addison and talking on cody cece and his contract, , nor does xavier

I have doubts he's available, period. Still on his ELC and has showed promise, we need more players like him to get through the buyout years, not fewer.

Bourgault went 22nd OA last year, shoots R and has 22 goals in 25 games this year with Shawinigan. Plus he’s throwing in a 2nd and Ceci. This is hardly an insulting offer.

I can appreciate not wanting to move Addison or not liking Ceci, but IMO this is a reasonably intriguing offer. Fair bit of value going to MN here.

But if Minnesota wanted him, they would have gone for him. Clearly they didn't. Cody cece isn't good along with his contract

Kinda loose credibility making comment like that. Cody Ceci has been excellent all year arguably the most consistent defender on the oilers. Easily out playing his contract could add another million or two on there and don’t think a single oilers fan would complain with the results he’s been giving.

He won't play in MIN, that's just factual. I am a wild fan. We also aren't trying to get older or make our cap worse

Are you referring to Bourgault here? If so, that whole “they picked X ahead of Y, so they must not like Y” argument is completely ridiculous.

Selecting Wallstedt over Bourgault does NOT mean that they don’t like Bourgault.

Not a chance CHI even considers that offer for Hagel.

Soooo far off on the Hagel offer. The price is a first round pick, top end prospect, and mid round/mid level prospects

They literally picked Carson lambos a few picks later, so how is it ridiculous?

What on earth does Carson Lambos have to do with how the wild feel about Bourgault?

Because Minnesota traded uo for nearly every player they wanted this past draft. They could have done the same here

Lol I’m done trying with you. This is such a fundamental concept, it’s honestly astonishing to me that it even needs to be outlined.

You aren't willing to have an honest conversation. How am I wrong when k said wild traded up for multiple prospects this past draft?

MN traded up with EDM to draft Wallstedt at 20. Bourgault went 2 picks later at 22. That doesn’t mean they don’t like Bourgault, it means they liked Wallstedt more. They very well may have loved Bourgault, too.

Lambos went at 26, so Bourgault wasn’t an option, but even if he was available, that STILL doesn’t mean they don’t like Bourgault.

You’re trying to suggest that because the Wild didn’t draft Bourgault when they had a chance, it means they currently have no interest in him. Which is an utterly ridiculous and unfounded claim.

Minnesota had a chance to draft Lundell, Jarvis, Mercer etc, but they opted for Rossi instead. That doesn’t mean they don’t like those players.

I will have an honest conversation, but you’re so far off base that it’s nearly impossible to have a discussion that doesn’t revolve around explaining basic things.

Cody Ceci Salary $3.3M, Market Value $2.6M. Although that guy does have zero credibility, it now sounds like you lost some there as well. He is not living up to his contract. Saying that he is the most consistent defender for the Oilers doesn't say much, nor would it for the Wild. However, the trade doesn't make sense. An offensive right handed D Man who is NHL ready for a 19 YO who is still playing juniors and might be able to score at the pro level (not proven), in a system where there are 6 prospects with the exact same skill level and or criteria, and an already young roster, why would you do that? Personally, I wouldn't.

How is market value 2.6 for a guy who’s spent the entire season in a top four role and plays on the pk? I never said I liked the trade itself only that it was silly to suggest ceci isn’t living up to his contract when he in fact is outperforming it by a wide margin.

I use the Athletic, and their player cards that are updated daily for Market Values. They base them off of Actual versus projected based off age and contract in the following categories, Goals, Assists, Points, Offense (goals scored or xGF while on ice), Defense (Goals against or xGA while on ice), actual GF-GA while on ice, and xGF-xGA while on ice. Pretty all encompassing, and surprising that his offense and defense numbers aren't better with the fact that he plays top 4 minutes on a team that has 2 of the 5 leading scorers in the NHL in their top 6, should Skew him to being a better offensive player, not at a -6.1.

Interesting. I thought he’s been solid and even still consider his deal well within reasonable.
