i think the goodrow deal was a once in a blue moon type move. i dont see alot of teams going all in on 3rd liners.

all signed decently all signed long term. you arent pushing anyone out of those spots. i dont know of any or many teams that have that luxury or have had that luxury in the last 20 years. most teams have some sort of holes in their top 6 to fill. we all agree toronto is a wagon offensively right?

Something a lot of Ducks fans have been thinking. Especially last season and this season, he's been going up at the begin of the season and then down come February. The defence in front of him has been rather poor for a few weeks now and I think it's obvious that he's frustrated when you look at how he plays. He seems more frustrated each game (rightfully so) and he went from a Top 5 Vezina candidate in early February to a below average Goalie right now. I don't blame this solely on him because of the defence but also his workload. Most Ducks fans are aware of the fact that "too much" workload (even if it isn't all that much compared to others) causes Gibson to fall of a cliff mid-season, but the coaching staff doesn't seem to care. He himself hasn't been all that good the last few weeks, also when isolated from the D in front of him, but I think this is partly due to factors you mentioned. But I really hope he can bounce back this season. Fingers crossed...

Technically no. He'd have to be offered to everyone else that put a claim on him first. As long as nobody above Toronto in the standings tried to claim him, he'll clear.
