Not getting that much for Kulak. And the Rangers are the last team that needs retention on any Contract.

Kulak (no retention) for a 4th

McBain is not getting the 33rd pick and Lehkonen would fetch WAY more than that if they trade him. Hughes has to be “blown away” by an offer in order to trade him. And Kulak doesn’t get that much either

He's a former 2nd round pick establishe in the NHL. So he's worth more.

this logic not good. by that logic we can say Sam Gagner is former 1st round pick establish nhl. Now he worth more?

I saw couture play in Ottawa when I was a kid - Montreal acquires him for a 5th round pick and Jacob Olofsson. Sound fair?

The % to develop a 2nd round pick to a NHL player like Lekhonen is really low. So yes

The difference is the Panthers didn't get optimal value on Vatrano because they had to clear cap for bigger moves and he's a UFA unlike Lehkonen.

And by your logic by his play 7 years ago Jamie Benn is a super star who should be worth tons of high picks and prospects but that’s not how it works does it

Uh ouch? You’re saying you saw him play in Finland, which would have been a while ago because he’s been in the nhl for 7 years. And by that evaluation he’s not very good and therefore not worth much. That spell it out for you?

Your argument is baseless and makes no sense. Leckenon doent have to be traded so ya habs will need to have a solid offer on the table or they will gladly keep him and workout a new deal. He gonna finish the season around the 35 point mark for a RFA who plays a great 200 foot game he is worth more than a 3rd n a prospect to start and when you factor in MTL's willingness to hold on to him if needed they will have to be blown away.

HABS confirmed that they will not trade Lehki unless there is a 1st rd pick or 1st rd prospect in play

example: Kravtsov

No chance habs give a 2nd (33 overall) for McCain. Minnesota is bent over a barrel. They will lose him for nothing in august. A 3 rd round is max I would give

That doesn’t move the needle for MTL and Lehkonen.

One of Glass, L’Heureux or 1st 2022 as a starting piece at a minimum
