If Hagel and Lehkonen are able to pull firsts and prospects, the how the crap have Canucks fans been ludicrous with our ask for Miller? The Eichel trade isn't an industry standard value and this week shows that.
If anything, what we can get for Miller half retained is higher than ever.

The thing was Hagel is on a stupid good contract for another 2 years and Lehkonen is an RFA

    But focusing on Hagel

How many goal young 20+ goal scorers not on ELC's and making less than 2mill are in the league. Plus he is doing this while being trusted to go up against other team's elite talent and thriving in the role.

Miller is good but his deal aint cheap and hes only got one more year on it. So to expect a similar return to what Hagel got is a bit unrealistic. Still will get a good return just not as big.

Are you really making the argument that Miller is worth less than Hagel...

For the sake of JT MILLER. I hope he gets traded! You can win a cup on that contract bud, just go do that quick and go to free agency. Your right, take the kings ransom. If you play your card right you might have enough money to sign JT

The package for Hagel isn't really as great as many think it is.

Tampa essentially gave up 2 late first-round picks and 2 scrubs for a guy who's signed for 2 more years after this one at a very good AAV.

The last pick is also in 3 years, which anything can happen. No guarantees how late those are.

The delusions are that you think you’re moving him. 3 weeks ago I heard Bruce say there’s no chance JT was being moved yet 100 fans on here keep trying to trade him. Delusional

In a flat cap world like we are in rn unfortunatly yes

Its unfortunate but more teams are willing to pay bigger premium prices for guys like Hagel

    Especially Tampa

Now if the Salary cap was going up normally than it would be different. Miller would be what Hagel is rn. A cheap player teams would pay a premium for as we would probs be seeing more and more double digit deals. Still a chance a team like NYR does it, but unless the cap starts going up guys on stupid cheap deals will be the guys teams pay stupid prices for.

Been hearing Kings have interest so maybe 1st + Clarke happens which aint bad. Not 2 1sts and 2 useful depth guys but Clarke makes up for it.

Doubt it. We can’t afford his cap hit. Unless he takes a big discount but we have too much youth to extend the next few years. I highly doubt he is ever a Ranger again unless it’s next TDL

Well I actually wouldn’t be surprised if he returned to Ohio. Timeline for their build fits. But at the end of the day if the NHL take back the coyotes and resells them they can move and get a new stadium and that might be a good spot. SEA seems to be sitting back and waiting to sign their big deals while stockpiling draft capital. Those are my 3 guesses.

No joke I was thinking Boston

Cause if you think about their situation a guy like Miller makes sense. Bergeron could retire soon so whose gonna be the 1c. Well Miller could be the guy till you develop someone

And yeah hopefulyl Bettman can go so we can get those money sucking yotes out of Arizona and get them somewhere to actually profit the league. Cant keep having Toronto, NYR, and MTL pay their bills forever

No one is will to pay the 6 1sts that would be the ask. It’s going to have to happen next TDL

I don’t think anybody is doing that, but TBL is again making trades where they are willing to crazy over pay for crazy good contracts and are willing to empty the cupboards to keep the party going. I mean everybody wants to win the Cup but as the defending 2 time champs the TBL are literally in a realm by themselves because nothing matters if they don’t continue this train, and until another team unseats them can justify making trades like this.
