Kerfoot, although a perfectly good player, is a bad fit with either SoCal team; both are overloaded with good left-handed young forwards. As to Los Angeles specifically, Kerfoot wouldn't get playing time at center ahead of Kopitar, Danault or Byfield, and he wouldn't get playing time at LW ahead of Iafallo, Kempe or Moore. And he's not a fourth-line player.
