I think we’d be looking for a more defensively responsible guy to pair with Power, & it wouldn’t make sense to have Barrie on the 3rd pair (& not getting any Pp time)

Habs would match that Romanov deal though ... they have some cap issues but not so much that they couldn't make it work.

Hopefully Hughes won't let it get to that point. There's a difference between being a tough negotiator and a stubborn mule. He should have more insight into the nuance than Bergevin did.
