Hello everyone,

It's sad for me to say, that I will have to stay off capfriendly for the next while. Im getting way too addicted, and I can't concentrate at work, I'm always thinking about capfriendly. Thanks for all the fun, I hope to communicate with you in a months time.

I will admit he's a great leader and mentor, and as long as we aren't competing there's no need to trade him, but if he's still here when we are ready to compete or if someone overpays for him, I'd say goodbye steady eddy

He said that, but then Edmundson was our 2nd best defenseman all season all the way to the cup finals. He was a top 4 D on last year’s habs and the 2019 Blues, so saying he’s a #4 isn’t at all overrating him.

And Bergevin saying he was a 3rd pairing D was covering his own *ss, since Eddy had a terrible season in Carolina the year before, and people were blasting him for the signing.

That just means he was OUR #4 defender. Not a #4 Defender. Ask any non bias person on this site and they'll say the same thing.

I’m saying he was our #2. Not saying he should be a #2, but him playing #2 on a successful team means he’s at least a #4. It’s not like Montréal won last year because of their blistering offense…

I'm taking Chiarot > Edmundson, my personal opinion. Chiarot is a good #4 while I think Edmundson is a good #5.

Sure those were major factors, but it’s pretty hard to deny the impact the defense had, especially in the Vegas series.
