Hmm, I’d say Washington is giving up too much but also Hayton is on Arizona so we really don’t know how he’d do on a competent team

2021 Playoffs started with this lineup.
Hyman (Coming off LTIR), Matthews & Marner. Foligno (CV19 protocol), Tavares, Nylander.
Mikheyev, Kerfoot, Nash (Coming off LTIR). Thornton, Spezza, Simmonds. Extra’s: Galchenyuk, Engvall & Brooks.
Reilly & Brodie, Mussin & Holl, Sandin & Bogosian. Extra’s: Dermott & Ben Hutton.
Campbell & Freddy also (Coming off LTIR) . Extra’s: Rittich & Hutch.
2022 Playoffs projected to start with this lineup.
Bunting, Matthews, Marner. Kase (coming off LTIR), Tavares, Nylander. Mikheyev, Kampf, Kerfooot.
Simmonds, Blackwell & Engvall. Extra’s : Spezza, Clifford & insert (Marlies name here).
Campbell & Kallgren! Mrazek – Out for the 1st Round (LTIR) , Extra’s: Carter Hutton & Joseph Woll.

I don't know if ARI needs goalies tbh. Seems like a bit redundant exchange for Hayton.

Would rather trade him for another young player stuck in system too.

Yotes can't give up on Hayton. they need him to develop into a 2C at least. Probably won't happen, at least not inn ARI, but they need to try too make it work. Has any team drafted worse in the last 5 years?

The past 10 years has been rough for the Yotes drafting (except 2016)

I was looking at the entry draft board on cap friendly and saw Keller in 2016. Otherwise, I'd have gone w/ 10.

True, but they didn't have a pile of high 1st rounders. And they've been a playoff team every year. Yotes have nothing to show for it.

They also got Chychrun but yeah they really made some poopoo decisions. If they decided to follow the rules last year, they could’ve had the 9 and 10 pick. Guenther and Sillinger maybe. Picking Hayton over Zadina and Hughes was a huge mistake
