Clown trades... if you were just trying to compile a German star team, don't use an NHL team as the base, just use the generic NHL logo.

Then if you don't want to rile up the fan base, try to making it more realistic because that Moritz Seider trade isn't going to happen.

Even if seider weren't untouchable. It would take allot more than that.

Seider is a stud, but that's a heavy overpay. Bouchard is outperforming him this year offensively and his underlying defensive stats are just as good. I get he's a year older, but the difference between these guys isn't Holloway + 1st + 2nd. That's too much.

Possibly because Detroit fans aren't paying attention to the fact that Bouchard is 11th in the league among defenseman at 5v5 as a rookie? One point behind Adam Fox.

He's a stud.

Or perhaps Detroit knows Seider is having an epic season. After all the mocking they got when they took him as early as they did.

Seider is a good player, he'll be a star in this league for a long time. Perhaps he'll reach Bouchard's level of offense one day, but he's not worth a top prospect + a 1st + a 2nd on top of Evan Bouchard. That's just silly.

Perhaps you should look at the numbers seider has 45 in 72 games. While Bouchard has 38 in 72 games. Simple math will show you seider is outpouring Bouchard. So I guess that "someday" is today.

Power play points. Bouchard doesn't get a lot of PP time because he's on the same team as Tyson Barrie. And when he does, it's usually the 2nd unit.

Among defensemen who have played at least 500 minutes at 5v5 this season, Bouchard is 10th in the league at 5v5 P/60 and 17th for G/60. That's elite production.
