The Tyson Barrie contract is an albatross. I would believe you'd have to add a second round pick with the contract and expect a 7th rounder back.
One of the worst contracts in the league IMO

PHI declines. Not paying for Kassian's contract with the sweetener of a guy we could've picked up off of waivers.

Barrie has played well in Edmonton but Detroit doesn't need an RHD, since Detroit is still rebuilding a 2nd rd pick for a 30yr old dman doesn't make much sense.

As everyone above said, none of these teams do this. And Yamamoto $3M I get, 5 years at that though? Probably a steal at some point so I doubt he signs that IMO

If Wings are not taking o. Petry from Habs why would they take Barrie from Oilers?

It could be argued Petry is much better than Barrie, but neither fill a hole on Wings lineup

Easy decline for Detroit, there is not a fit there at all. Even if Detroit traded Hronek, there are better options on the FA market at RHD, than trading for a 30 (or older) year old and giving up assets.

Why would the Flyers give up a first for a waiver pickup and a awful contract. Not even close

The deal was for two forth round picks. Can you read?
