I think the value is fair for scheifele. Both players are stuck behind core pieces of the Rangers. Laffy stuck behind Kreider and Panarin, Schnider behind Fox and Trouba. Both should be expendable for the rangers,

Rangers wouldn't move both Laf & Schneider for Scheifele - they *need* guys on their ELCs right now because they've got a tighter cap situation starting next year. I also think Laf is too recent of a 1-1 pick to move on from in a deal like that. You'd probably be better off targeting Kakko (needs an RFA raise) and another D prospect like Nils Lundkvist instead.

People really need to stop thinking Scheifele is McDavid. Mark is not worth Laf by himself.

I’m going to disagree with just about everyone here and I think you’ve done pretty good overall. Rangers would need to bring cap back to Wpg in the offer but the rest of them are pretty fair contrary to opinion. 7th pick is great, but it’s not a gold mine value, a strong RD who had a down yr, I do think Vesalainen would need to be upgraded in the trade a little bit and a 2nd rd pick. Looking at past first rd draft choice trades such as Arz getting 9, Risto trade, Stepan to Arz for a t10 pick, etc.
