Wings pass, cap hit and player not useful for the wings. Flyers pay to dump him or can trade him to a contender for the 4th

I wouldn't mind Lindblom at all, but I'd rather make a hockey trade and move a bottom 6 guy to make room for him. As it is, we can't add another winger without moving anybody out.

LA and WSH trades definitely don't work.

I don't think Detroit does that because they have a ton of wingers. Isn't a Lindblom worth more than a 4th.

He's a useless player and makes 3M a year. It would be like erne all over again. Rather not even take this player who goes in our bottom 6 and isn't Bette then what we have there anyway.

Fabbri, veleno, bergeron
Rasmussen, Stephens/gagner/erne, sunny

Detroit declines. We have too many depth players as it is.

Fabbri is likely out for a majority of next year. Stephens & Gagner are currently unsigned. So trade Erne for Lindblom and you have 5 guys from this list that are in the bottom 6, plus Zadina and/or Suter depending on what happens in FA.

I'd do erne for lindblom in a heartbeat, flyers are dumping cap space so it's likely they wouldn't accept this and not want salary back. This is why I said no to the deal on the first place, player is a cap dump

Caps already have an overrated right handed defenseman making 8 mil a year, why would we want an even worse overrated right handed defenseman?

Erne's style fits their roster better than Lindblom, IMO, and we have the capability to retain on him for the year. I'd retain on Erne and take on Lindblom's 1 year contract to see what he can do here. We have plenty of cap space, Lindblom is a bit younger, and Lindblom is the better player.

Los Angeles isn't trading either of Kaliyev or Quick.

I gotta think Quick is a cap dump for LA here otherwise the trade doesnt make sense to me. Kaliyev is very promising and that 1st could be high next year. Those 2 pieces I think are move valuable than Provorov and a 3rd. I dont think Quick cap dump makes it even but if LA wants a top 4 D and cap space to make an all-in push, they might do it.

I guess it could be a cap dump, but I assume Quick would rather retire. And if it is a cap dump then there’s a good amount of value missing honestly. Kaliyev is definitely promising but also unproven, and if the kings make the playoffs again the pick is already mid-late which I think definitely isn’t enough for a top pair D of that age and contract…

Maybe that’s just me, but if that is a cap dump I think there’s another decent piece coming back

If it’s not a cap dump, Philly is already loaded with young goalies trying to find a way to push Hart out… Fed looked fantastic overseas. Very poise and agile… if that game is brought over here I think Hart will be expendable, but this would hurt the chances of even giving him a shot…

Idk, Quick and the 3rd dont really move the needle for me. I dont think Quick is worth anything (LA probably wants the $5.8m more than Quick considering Cal's extension kicks in next season). 3rds are low hit rate. Philly cant use Quick like you said, so maybe they flip him with retention. Considering the usual goalie market, he's probably still not worth much. With or without those pieces, I think Philly is getting the better deal.

Provorov is very good but I'm impressed with Kaliyevs production given how little ice time he had (and I assume next to no PP time). Long term, I'd say 1st + Kaliyev > Provorov.

If LA is underwhelmed with the Byfield/Turcotte/Vilardi crew and decides to push all in with Kopitar/Doughty/Kempe/Denault/Arvidsson, they have to address the defense and I think Philly accepts Kaliyev+1st (probably protected) for Provorov all day. Blake has never traded a 1st round pick though so not sure he'd even offer that.

Yeah, I’m not sure this is a good fit for either side honestly. Provorov is worth a high prospect and mid to early first (maybe not top 10 so I can see it being protected) plus a young bottom 6 or 3rd pair D type… at least that’s what I think it will take for chuck to start to consider…

Philly can possibly retain and flip Quick for something but I just don’t see Quick playing for any other teams
