We are not spending that on JT Miller because he's a pending UFA next season.

I’d be very disappointed with almost all those returns for Miller. Some are overpayments for him tho. Like we’re not getting the 2nd overall pick for him

Sens are one the teams that could actually afford to give him an extension. So it wouldn't need to be a 1 year one and done.

I would say it'd need to be 2nd OA plus... but I'm open to my values being up and down thus the making of this thread. Which are overpays and which are underpays?

If you drop either Heimosalmi or Necas and flush it out with a 2nd or a 3rd, Carolina considers it, but with both? It's too much.

Thank you for actual feedback? What if VAN adds a 3rd? I like the idea of 2 RHDs in the deal for VAN

Right off the bat, the Canes, Avalanche, and Devils quickly decline. They’re giving up too many quality pieces that are important to them

I could see the pieces being too valuable... but too many pieces isn't the thing here. NJD give up 2 pieces and get 2, COL gives up 2 pieces and gets 1 and CAR I can see (as noted above) but doesn't seem like the "quick decline" you mention

New hook on an ELC is very important to Colorado, don’t think they should be trading him, and it doesn’t make sense for Jersey to get someone way older instead of drafting whoever they want with the 2nd overall

Canes pass. Heimosalmi is a non starter.

As Friedman said, there will be bids/options for the Canucks to decide and that will give the Canucks some really good choices. He's a 100 pt Center. Ppl can yell all they want to but he's a stud.

I don't think the Canes, Leafs or Rangers will be in on JT unless the price tag is lower than expected.

I really wouldn't want to see JT in LA. They'd be really good and JT is one of those guys that would light up Van each time they played.

Boston or Pitt seem like logical destinations given their needs/future needs but I'm not sure Boston will be able to offer the best package for JT. Pitt might be.

I like the Ottawa trade but he probably doesn't fit their window.

The values aren't off imo for the most part.

what would CBJ have to offer, in your opinion?

RHD with Top-4 potential in the 20-25 age range, Middle 6 roster player, 1st round pick. I understand Boqvist is really highly valued so CBJ-specific trade would be Boqvist plus a 2nd/3rd rounder or legit 2rd line player.

I think Boston does that. Many fans are unwilling to part with Carlo, but I like it. B's could sign Manson as a replacement.

I would say it'd need to be 2nd OA plus... but I'm open to my values being up and down thus the making of this thread. Which are overpays and which are underpays?

              theyre legitimately all overpays

Thank you for actual feedback? What if VAN adds a 3rd? I like the idea of 2 RHDs in the deal for VAN

It wouldn't change the fact Heimosalmi and Necas in the same deal really don't work. Bear on his own could return a second. Heimosalmi is one of the most promising prospects in the organization, and Necas put up 40 points in a down year. For a rental, even as good as Miller, it's got to be one or the other imo.

Fair enough. Then I guess based on your feedback the return could be Bear, Heimosalmi and a 2nd?

Most of these values are all over the place. VAN already said no the NYR for a trade package similar to your proposing. (Nils Lundkvist, a first-round pick, and Filip Chytil).

I know thus I kept the structure. We know NYR is willing to part with that package but not willing to part with Schneider

I'm sorry, how? He is involved in 1/9 trades here. This is hardly a Marino-based AGM. The person involved in 9/9 trades and the dude whose name is in the title is who this AGM is focused on.
