It's really a stain on the sport that such important games get decided in such a clown-ish way.

People saying "how can anybody call soccer boring?!?" while also claiming this game, (which had half it's goals by way of free kicks and was decided by penalty kicks) the greatest game ever. tears of joy

It was certainly an amazing game, it was an intense game and I was on the edge of my seat most of the time ( especially in ET and penalties ), however, yes, deciding a team game with individual skill may turn some people off ( like you clearly )
