Can we make it a different prospect from Poulin?

Definitely don't want Drouin in a deal. Don't need another "He COULD be good again" player... in the end though the Devils require quality not quantity. They are shoring up the lineup in most spots, besides goalie. They'd rather a long term power forward.

But cheers for at least not being another Anderson trade.

Pens pass rather quickly. We are looking to move a Dman, not bring another one in and hand over our 1rst.

Not from a Columbus side it doesn’t, I’d consider moving 12 for that price but not 6. Columbus needs high end talent not just more picks.

21+30 + middle 6 center = 6th OA?

Value chart wise is mean Dvorak has the value of a mid 3rd (.8) so on paper it works, but in reality Columbus needs higher picks to get higher level talent.

Not excited about Poulin either despite Pens fans clinging to him like the next big thing. He's projected as a bottom 6 forward according to Corey Pronman. He lacks a lot of pace. Underwhelming season in the AHL.

Sean Farrell needs to be in the lineup. He's looked good for team USA at the World Championships.

I think Hughes will be very busy creating room for players like Farrell and Ylonen.

Roy is a good target but thats too much money. Vegas couldnt even match a 2.1M offer. I'd offer the Oilers 2nd rounder which should be enough to entice Vegas as they need to shed salary and are susceptible to a Roy offer sheet and 3rd rounder in 2023 as compensation @2.1M offer and below.

Pipeline is bare. When you're clinging to guys like Hallander.. Leafs fans did that a few years ago. It's gone out of style. Poulin is a natural progression. Oh, yes!

Cringe. I think a few of them actually got PTSD from Dreger's tweets

I wonder when Rangers fans finally realize Kaapo Kakko isnt elite when Shesterkin has more points than him this post season

I think if you change the Edmonton 2nd to Montréal's 2nd in the Arizona trade, they might accept, since it's only a difference of a few spots

LOL - would you retire leaving over 30M on the table?????
Price is a nice guy but he's definitely NOT stupid.
Its either LTIR (most likely) or he's cleared to play.

NO WAY PRICE RETIRES nor does he get traded as the cash payout for any team doesn't compensate for the cap hit. (for teams looking to make the cap floor 10M annually).
Here's the break down for price

Year Cash Signing Bonus total payout Cap Hit
2022-23 $1,000,000 $6,750,000 $7,750,000 $10,500,000
2023-24 $2,000,000 $6,500,000 $8,500,000 $10,500,000
2024-25 $2,000,000 $5,500,000 $7,500,000 $10,500,000
2025-26 $2,000,000 $5,500,000 $7,500,000 $10,500,000
Total $31,250,000 to be paid

its not like Weber's contract where the cash payout is 3M this season and 1M for the next three with a cap hit of over 7M a year.
Year Cash Cap Hit
2022-23 $3,000,000 $7,857,143
2023-24 $1,000,000 $7,857,143
2024-25 $1,000,000 $7,857,143
2025-26 $1,000,000 $7,857,141
Total $6,000,000
