What makes you think the Oilers still have Pistol-Pete?

I don't think Blackwood is the answer in goal, but not bad. I agree the Olier's would be dumb to take that deal.

I mean, I'm not saying this is a bad team, because they aren't, but here's what you've done-

Out: Campbell, Spezza, Kerfoot, Holl, Mrazek, (and then) 2nd, 3rd, 4th, Robertson, Abramamov, SDA, Kokkonen
In: Blackwood (coming off back to back bad years), Poolparty (not bad), ZAR, (and then) 3rd, 7th

Plus, you've got a 20 man roster. I just don't see how the above is better than what they currently have?

Blackwood hasn’t even proven he is a consistent winner much less champion caliber goalie.

In fairness, Mike Smith is currently in the conference finals. But yeah, I agree, this isn't the answer.

Goalies are voodoo and he's good enough where he could find his stride to go on a run

I think it´s the team that pushed the b2b cup champs to 7 and questionable calls influenced game 6 and 7 influenced the series heavily. Only difference is more scoring on 4 lines

Ken Holland is dumb. He´s gonna resign Kane at a crazy price. yamamoto won't want to much and they won't be able to afford Pulu. Plus from what I´ve read he's not that high on Pulu

You don't make sense. If they can't afford Puljujarvi how are they able to take on Kerfoot's $3.5M cap hit?

Never mind that it's not a good deal for Edmonton.

then you read wrong. Dude was patient AF when the entire fanbase wanted him gone for a coupon..

He isn't as 'dumb' as you think if we're still playing, and yungboi genius DuMbas has his wonderful creation playing golf early yet again.

I think it´s better than last year but Goaltending is a issue. I´d like to see Muzzin get moved but the only team I see him going to is the Kings

You´re still playing because of the pacific lol. Not taking anything away from you guys because you still had to win but if you play in any other division it´s probably a first round exit

Kerfoot was kinda a filler you don't really have to include him. I could see Robby plus a pick getting it done

This team is a nightmare in goal and has room for one additional player, max - you're either playing guys hurt, or you're losing them for 10 games a pop on LTIR with this cap situation. Not ideal!

I do enjoy how it's always "Yeah, but if you were playing someone else..."

If the Leafs have shown us anything, it's that the playoffs are typically a crapshoot. You've lost to Tampa (back to back champs!), but also Montreal (4th in that division while playing in the weakest division last year), and Columbus (who would have been a wildcard team).

As much as I hate giving the Habs credit they were pretty good last year. As evidence as them getting to the SCF

Hahaha, dude, they wouldn’t have been in the playoffs with regular divisions! They had a hot month or so at the right time. It can’t just be “yeah, but you’re playing bad teams!” And then “oh but the bad teams we were playing were actually good!”
