They are only landing spots because those four non playoff teams and LA. have cap to make a trade without sending cap back to Chicago. IMO those team would be better to sign a top UFA the year or next even if for a little more money instead of giving up those good young assets for two years of DeBrincat. Can't make a trade expecting more.
A signed RFA Fiala who MInni most likely trades due to cap reason for 7.5m X 5m doesn't get the returns that you posted for DeBrincat.

The Isles would have a lot of work to do after making this trade but I'd do it

I'd go 2 1sts to downgrade Raty to Holmstrom but yeah it's something to think about

OTT is not giving up 3 potential top 6 players for 5-6 years of Debrincat if they can even sign him long term

Debrincat is better than Fiala, and the hawks can take cap back from playoff teams. Those teams just don't have the futures packages other teams do

Sens would definitely have to give up one of Pinto or Greig for sure, but considering they're really their only two decently high-profile forward prospects right now, they'd probably need to replace Greig (the lower-value one) with like, Thomson and an added 2nd or 3rd round pick instead.

Wow, a rational fan! All of these are pretty fair in terms of value. Good stuff

Yup, exactly this. Change Raty to Holmstrom and it's a deal from NYI.

Hawks don't take that swap. Plenty of teams will want Cat. If one team doesn't want to pay up we'll move on to the next

The 2nd would have to go up to a 1st, like the origonal commenter said. Hawks might also have to take bailey to make cap work

Wahlstrom, Holmstrom, Bailey, and two 1sts for DeBrincat and something else would be a great deal for both teams. The something else can be Jake McCabe or Riley Stillman.
