Totally agree, just over Nylander at this point

Which Strome deal makes the most sense
I like the thought process, but do you think we should look at trading Saad instead? Value wise we receive a lesser return. However, one must think Strome signs for slightly over half of Saads current AAV. I remain skeptical of signing Saad long term after the last contract fiasco.

Acquiring big time talent
Do you think the sharks would rather Saad instead of Mitchell? That is with the assumption he could be easily flipped at the deadline for a 1st or equivalent. I think that may help out the Hawks more also, keeping Mitchell and potentially De Haan or Maatta.

Obviously a lot of unrealistic moves, but what’d you guys think of the team? Are they elite?</div></div>
We wouldn’t have some fans hoping for a playoff loss to keep a higher draft pick if we added another superstar like Marner, that is for sure. Would be fun to watch

Price auction for ANY MTL PLAYERS
From a Blackhawks perspective I’d be interested in the cost of Domi, Suzuki & Poehling.
Just to spitball:
Domi for 2021 first Rounder & Nicholas Beaudin
Suzuki for Nylander & Beaudin
Poehling for Maatta & Nylander

What about reunited Debrincat & Strome with McDavid in a massive trade around those two and Drai instead?

Beaudin to Mtl BOOK IT
I can’t see Montreal trading it’s own 2020 1st rounder with the draft being held in Montreal. It’s been rumored the Habs do love him. I wonder if a bigger package is being thought of. If not, I can see a deal involving a young forward coming back for him or a 2021 first.

After missing playoffs Hawks recalibrate again
I like it, I am curious as to what others think of Saad’s worth. I tend to overvalue but I would think he could bring back a first. I like the overall team, sets them up well for the future. It’s exciting to see how stacked the defensive prospect pool is even after trading away one of our best in Joki.

Couple trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>There are actually a lot of reasons. Zero of which have to do with his play on the ice. A.) he's a UFA B.) The Hawks are tight up against the cap next year and don't have Dylan Strome or a #1G signed. It'll be near impossible for the Hawks to offer him anything close to value. C.) The realistic view point is this team probably won't win the Stanley cup. I know shocker to other fans. So if you can't keep him...make sure you get something for him D.) The Hawks have Boqvist and Beaudin developing in Rockford right now, plus Ian Mitchell playing at Denver University. It's widely believed that one of those three...likely Boqvist will take his place on the PP...and they're all clearly ELC costs. E.) This is might just be me, but there should be 16 teams at least looking to see what he'll cost @ the TDL. $600k (Hawks eat half) and literally every single team in the NHL can afford his services. Zero teams will need to alter their long term plans if they want a rental...OR...if you have the cap going into the future...you can sign him up after a half year try out.</div></div>
Nice breakdown, simply put he is our biggest asset we can dangle. Like most Hawk fans, I think we need a shakeup and he is the easiest to move.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PhillDaThrill</b></div><div>I dont think that package lands Eakin. But I think Vegas might not trade him as they have already moved Miller and Haula. I think Reaves and Holden are the only others that may be moved.
Change Murphy for Gussy and I would support the Zucker trade.
And under the scenario I think you 100% have to move Saad in 2020 to have room to resign Cat and Strome.</div></div>
I really like Eakin and feel he fits what Stan describes as his perfect offseason addition to a T. May need to flip that 3rd to a 2nd, agreed

I would consider that trade, Zucker has an extra 2 years in his contract and needs a fresh start

Agreed with Chihawk, especially in this scenario where I had the hawks draft Turchotte over Byram. That along with resigning Kampf for 3 years doesn't make Center a pressing need for the next few years.
