Description
Just some thoughts about what kind of things could happen without trying to go too far along considering Monny and Lucic will drop off in 1 more year.
Flames need a true 1C which Jimmy Stu looks like he will be, in order to compete with McD
Trade for Dobson instead of Offer sheeting him as Isles need to sign Barzal and 5 D and a G in 2023 with only $20M in space (just pay them what the Comppensation would be. Signing would have been after the draft, so 2023 picks would have been the compensation anyway

the islanders don’t do that trade, and regardless dobson doesn’t sign that deal. he had 51 points this year.

Ottawa will just wait until Brady's brother becomes a UFA.

That way, Ottawa will have both Tkachuk brothers and Timmy Stu.

Matthew Tkachuk is a premier player in the League, but Tim Stützle has upside as one of the best Cs in the league imo. He's just scratching the surface

Not sure you're getting enough back from NJ for the sign and trade
If I'm OTT, I don't do that deal, but if Brady pushes for it they might have to. I think Stutzle is gonna be in the Draisaitl category
Lucic deal is fine
No way the Isles do the Dobson deal. That kid is QBing the PP for years to come, and there's no way you get him for 3x2. He'll sign a bridge between 5 and 6 for 2 years, then when the Isles have cap space it'll be around 8 for 8.

Ottawa doesn't trade a young stud for stud Tkachuk who is one year away being a UFA.

Why do you even think Dobson signs that offer sheet?

None of us are actual GM;'s and the only way to save these after you play around is to publish. It IS just for fun and to try some things to get some ideas about possibilities
Flames will most likely have Johnny and Matt signed long term anyway

False, you can literally just hit back and it saves it as an unpublished work. I do that all the time when I think an idea but am not certain how to balance the trade or fit it under the cap, etc. I think i've probably partially made and scrapped hundreds of idea's
