Chevy hangs up and refuses to take anymore calls from Detroit for quite a while.

Think Chevy would really have to consider that.

Good because we're not giving that much up. It's an overpay.

Wings can sign a 2nd line centre as UFA either this year or next and keep all those young assets. A massive overpay for good 2nd line centre.

Detroit accepts the PIT deal and declines the rest.

Detroit is still in a rebuild and isn't going to give up six assets for one player.

I like the Pittsburgh trade. I would accept, but not like the Vegas trade. It would take PLD becoming a top ten center in the league for me to think Detroit won the Winnipeg trade. The value is probably right, just not right for us.

Drastic overpay for PLD. Chevy would be crazy not to accept that trade immediately. It's is not wise for a rebuilding team to move 6 pieces for a 2C. A reasonable PLD trade on Detroit's side would be Hronek, Veleno and a 1st.
