Johnston is a no go. If we wanted an overpaid overrated RHD we’d keep Klinger

The only thing on this roster I’d consider trading Johnston for is DeBrincat. This deal is like me offering Seguin for Dach and your first.

I know Chicago got shat on with the Jones trade + contract, but no teams are doing them an immense favour by giving them one of the top prospects in the league plus a first for him.

Teams aren't giving up so much for taking on all that cap. Wouldn't Jersey be thousand times better by signing a 9m UFA instead of giving up all those assets for maybe two years of DeBrincat?

No first round picks no high end forward prospects all for one year for a guy who no longer has interest playing below the dots. That’s an easy pass imo.

Sorry bud but Chicago doesn’t have the assets to acquire Johnston. Debrincat is great but not for only 2 years of him.

Probably a no from Dallas. Johnston is a top 5 prospect in hockey. Settle trade is kinda just for your own fun so I won't comment there, but fun fact, Colton Dach was better in the WHL than Kirby, who went 3rd OA

I’m aware of Colton, my philosophy in life is if you’re gonna dislike something, you better know everything about it so you have a valid or logical reason to do so. I have nothing against Colton whatsoever, but his last name makes him a victim of his waste of a big brother. So yea, combo of my love for beniers and my dislike for anything DACH.

You make it sound like he ever played below the dots. Even when he “did,” he still didn’t put up numbers like he has since 2016.

Oh I’m not saying you should, other Avs fans have liked it, but I get YOUR reservations for sure.
