Hawks decline. Would want a draft pick with Mrázek. They can get a cheaper, worse goalie off of FA that will help their tanking.

Detroit passes, William Nylander is soft as butter. Especially come playoff time we need players with more grit. like Tyler Bertuzzi.

Bert will be soft as butter too when his back explodes by the time we're ready for playoffs. I'll take the "soft" Nylander (who I applaud for avoiding that hit against TB, BTW).

If his back is anything like Zetterberg, He'll still be good for another 10 years. So i'd gladly take my chances with Bert.

Apples and oranges. Z played a much different style than Bert.

you need to pay to move mrazek....he cleared waivers for a reason. It's going to cost a 2nd at minimum and possibly a prospect like abruzzese

Mrazek is a cap dump. Gibson gets more.

Detroit declines, Bert is more valuable to Detroit than Nylander would be.

I agree. Value wise Bertuzzi for Nylander would be 1 for 1, but I would rather have Bertuzzi.

Bertuzzi had disk replacement surgery instead of spinal fusion. With spinal fusion you were almost guaranteed to have more back problems down the road. In spinal fusion they remove what is left of the disk, insert a bone graft to fuse the 2 vertebrae together and use a plate and screws to hold the vertebrae together while they fuse. Fussing the vertebrae fixes one problem but it creates more problems down the road. So I can't say Bertuzzi won't have more back problems but it is very unlikely he will have problems related to the surgery just had.

I literally just dumped him to a random tanking team
