Jason Robertson has one of the brightest futures in the NHL. Dallas would never give him up. Terrible trade

The perfect trade indeed.... If you are a Montreal fan. MIN and DAL, however, decline fairly easily.

Geez, I never thought I'd miss the awful 'Petry for Bourque' trades...but here we are

There’s nothing on Minnesota or Montreal that would be worth trading Robertson for except Kaprizov, which both teams would probably rather keep their star player.

This is one of the worst Stars trades I’ve seen on this website.

What does Dallas gain giving up their best winger and a 2nd round pick and player that is probably worth a second with his low cap hit? A worse forward than Robertson , a worse pick dropping a second to a third and an over the hill righty D that fills in a 2pair RD role (at best if he doesn’t fall off a cliff) for a few years while the team should be either retooling or at least just holding their cards and waiting and not handcuffing more cap. If they are trying to compete now they don’t essentially trade a 40 goal scorer for two worse players.
