Not Screwing with you at all. Stamkos is a great player, or and I am not implying that he is over the the hill. But he is approachin the "waning days" of his career. Perhaps not today, the in the not too distant future. The Bolts may very well find themselves in the cup final next year. Steven is 32 Laffy will be 21 and Braeden 20, when the season starts (a.k.a future for past). But you didn't stop there. The NYR have the following caps hits on their books. Breadman at at $11.6M, Adam at $9.5M, Mika at $8.5M, Jacob at $8M, Chris at $6.5M and Igor at $5.6M. Let's do the math. That's $49.7M for 6 players. I reduce this by $1.85M with the departure of Laffy and Braden, and you want the NYR to absorb full sticker on Steven at $8.5M and Tony at $4.8M. That puts at us at 8 players at a net of CAP of approximately $61.2M. That leaves me with about $29.95 for the supporting cast (Approx. $20M left). After spending a couple of million here and a couple of million there, Well, I have to fill the final couple of roster spots with a recruiting drive at Public School #6 to fill up the bench.
