ngl winnipeg should just sign him to a deal for as long as he's willing to sign for (two years i guess), retain half salary on it, and trade him to the highest bidder. teams are still going to have interest in two years of dubois and there's always the chance he chooses to stick around after. no reason to sell him for low value to the habs just because they're the team he wants to go to in two years.

yeah, just don't think winnipeg needs to roll over and take garbage from the habs in return for him. someone will give up a premium asset for 2 years of PLD, especially if they sign him at say 7.5mil annually and retain half, which gets a team PLD at 3.5mil for two years.

Dvorak est très sous estimé. Avec les coyotes il ne pouvait pas faire grand chose et la avec le CH que tout allait mal, il n'a pas pu démontré le joueur qu'il est encore. Quand Martin St Louis est arrivé, Dvorak a commencé a produire beaucoup plus.

If they add Dubois aren’t they a lock to make the playoffs? That means the pick will be between 16-32. And Dvorak is a third line center if you are in cup contention. That’s not enough for Dubois lol

Dubois has had a career high of .74 PPG & needs a big contract. That doesn't get some huge haul back.

Dvorak is a good two way center. His best season was .59 PPG only .15 PPG off from PLD's best season and he's much better defensively. Calling him just a 3C is underselling him.

25 year old Sam Reinhart last 3 years (.76 PPG) = late 1st + prospect

24 year old PLD last 3 years (.66 PPG) = Unprotected 1st + top tier prospect +

Dvorak isn’t a second line center on a cup winning team imo. He’s a nice player to have but I think you are overrating him. Reinheart Is more of a wing then a center so I don’t like that comparison.

TBH I would be concerned about Dubois’s point totals given his linemates, but the lack of depth the jets have might be negatively impacting their top lines. Also I don’t think most NHL GM’s would share that concern with me or you.

Btw Dvorak is a very good 3C. I don’t think that an insult in anyway shape or form. Yanni Gourde was a 3C in Tampa. Pageau was the isles 3C during their conference finals runs. I think Dvorak is worse than both players, but that isn’t an insulting group to be a part of.
