Jackets definitely aren't a win now team. They won't be desperate for a top 6C unless none of Roslovic, Texier, Sillinger, Johnson or Del Bel are looking like top 6C options 2 years from now. Only situation I can see them acquiring one sooner is if Larkin or Barzal fall into their lap somehow. Don't have much faith in Malkin playing nearly often enough to be a difference maker for the CBJ either.

General rules:
A. Never trade a player that was just signed. It just flat out doesn't happen.
B. Know the other team's needs before trying to send an asset there (don't get caught up on the asset you want, but also what they need)
C. Anything more than 3 trades (at most) has an insanely low chance of happening. Teams just don't trade that much in one season, let alone all at once.
