The rumors were shot down by multiple Hawks insiders. There is no truth to the rumors

Doesn't matter, I can still play around with the thought.

Frankly I get it though, I don't see Kane having desire to waive for Dallas.

Fair deals all around, well thought out. My gut feeling though is that CHI says no on this one, Faksa and Dellandrea aren't really significant adds. Admittedly I know nothing about Grushnikov.

You don't think this trade above is the classic quality for quantity?

Dallas would have to really come out of the gate hot cus I don't think anyone is looking at them as true contenders right now and Kane has said he's waiting til the deadline to gauge where teams are at. I don't think Dallas gets there.

I get the entertainment piece on here, but yeah, don't see Kane waiving for Dallas but who knows. Kane is going to want to see who looks good come December then probably submit a few teams he's willing to go play for

On a vacuum yes but it's also for a rental, and I can't recall a rental deal that included team's top prospects.

Granted I can't also recall a rental deal involving a player of Kane's caliber, but nonetheless I'm of the opinion that Dallas is not including their top3 prospects on a rental deal. Seems more counterproductive than anything else.

Dellandrea is a decent add consider how poor Hawks C depth is in terms of prospects. Faksa is added purely for cap reasons.

Grushnikov a serviceable guy, more defensive D-man.

Yeah I think they look to surprise a lot of people.

That or this core gets burnt to crisp.

For what it's worth, I have the Stars as WC#1 and playing the Oilers in the first round (for now).

I hear ya, I'm flexible so it's not Wyatt. I just wasn't sure if Stank was more desirable or not. Maybe some how Connor Murphy can fit? IDK just looking at different options.

I'm down. Pacific Division teams constantly struggle against Dallas. Plus we have a bone to pick with Campbell for being so bad for us.

Would Ducks be willing to add a 2023 4th if we did that?

Idk, I wouldnt be surprised if Kane would be open to Dallas as an option at the deadline so long as theyre in contention. Pavelski, Hintz, Robertson, Seguin, definitely would have fun and would have tools to play with. I think it wouldnt happen until the deadline though, because they arent a guaranteed contender. Although a full year with Oettinger playing like he showed at the end of the year, could be a fun team.

Destination fit aside, I'd prefer Stankoven over Dellandrea assuming Johnston is untouchable if he's playing in the NHL, but who the hell knows what value is anymore anyway.

Honestly if that's what it Takes to get Kane, I hope they pass. Save those assets for a younger player that has more term and similar or less cap hit than Kane at 50%, Kane's obviously a great player but giving up all that for 2 months (assuming deadline trade) of him seems a bit steep. I don't think he's enough to put the Stars over the edge, especially if they don't address their defense.
