Sure, but not when it costs Kane. That is a idiotic comment. They will enat a package that benefits them now and at the deadline,, not just at the deadline. Kerfoot gets hurt or regresses and they are screwed. If they are going to trade Kane, they will want a 1st and if you want retention then that really costs. Getting aKerfoot, whether he played good at last years deadline means nothing. Sandin and Robertson do not get Kane and adding Kerfoot who most Leaf posters add in trades is not the tipping point.

Even with that trade, it's not cap compliant with a full roster. Any trade for Kane to a contender....cap will have to go back to the Hawks. So don't poo poo any Kerfoot or Holl inclusions cause other teams would have to have the same "Kerfoot and Holl" in a trade.
