LA trade is also decent
Durzi for Hoglander isn't that bad
And
Lias Andersson for Rathbone is quite good
It really isn’t decent at all. At least for the Kings. I’ll tell you why.
Let’s start with Hoglander. In order for him to improve his numbers and be a more effective player, he has to play on the Top 9. LA’s top 9 is already set. I wouldn’t want him playing on the 4th line.
Kempe-Kopitar-Fiala
Moore-Danault-Arvidsson
Iafallo-Byfield-Kaliyev
Schenn is also not gonna fit in our Top 6 Defense, as that’s full as well, he’ll end up being a Depth D-Man. He also shoots Right, so why would we give up Durzi in this trade, when he’s a RHD as well and is significantly better. Woo is also a RHD, which we don’t need. We have a lot of good RHD both on the roster and prospects, we don’t need to add to our RHD.
Rathbone is a decent D-Man, but if LA is gonna acquire a LHD, I can almost assure you it will be a top 4 LHD, and will be acquired during the Deadline.
Technically Lemieux is also our only “physical guy” so I don’t see many reasons on why to trade him.
We’re not trading Madden for another RHD (Woo).
