Interesting, although I'd imagine DET would want to keep the center. Especially at the extension you've proposed.

Thinking outside the box though, not bad.

I mean, it's a good trade for both. I just can't believe we are here with Robertson....

Bad trade for both teams.
Larkin will get more than 7.5m annually. He's likely to come in closer to 8.5m

This makes Detroit even thinner at center and Dallas is giving up the better player. Bad for both sides

Both players will end up costing closer to $9m than $7.5m.

Also, zero chance this happens.

Anyone see that I said " I hate it." I do not want this to happen. It was just a random thought I had and it is somewhat possible but highly unlikely.

Larkin at 7.5 in Dallas is comparable to more in Detroit because of taxes. But, yes, I don't think he would take 7.5. Robo might get 7.5 on a bridge.

I think it’s utterly ridiculous for a player like Robertson to not only take a bridge deal but for significantly less than his market value at just $7.5m. You have guys like Stutzle and even Kyrou making more than that on long term deals. If I was him, I’d be firm on a $9m AAV regardless of term or finding my way out of Dallas.
